See how collaboration, innovation, and design excellence are transforming post-war homes in South Bristol.
VOR was appointed to lead retrofit assessment, design, and coordination for a PAS 2035-compliant social housing retrofit programme covering over 150 Laing Easiform homes. Delivered in partnership with Bristol City Leap and Bristol City Council, as part of the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) Wave 2.1. The project aimed to improve energy performance, enhance comfort, and uplift local streetscapes.
This short case study video, first featured in The Retrofit Academy’s new Retrofit in Action series, takes you behind the scenes of the Easiform Project. It explores how our multidisciplinary team and partners delivered a multi-phase retrofit programme in a mixed-resident environment, that balances technical rigour, regulatory compliance, and community impact.

About the Project
The Easiform programme showcases VOR’s fabric-first retrofit design approach, underpinned by detailed building performance modelling and PAS 2035 best practice.
Working across both PAS 2035:2019 and 2023 standards, our team navigated evolving regulations and technical challenges through continuous learning, collaboration, and refinement of our processes.
Our qualified Retrofit Coordinators, Designers, and Assessors worked collaboratively to deliver technically sound, resident-centred solutions that improve thermal comfort and reduce carbon emissions for Bristol residents.
The Easiform Project showcases what can be achieved when innovation, collaboration, and PAS 2035 excellence come together to deliver measurable outcomes for residents and communities. Whether you’re a local authority, housing provider, or retrofit professional, this case study demonstrates how effective collaboration between multidisciplinary teams and project partners can turn complex challenges into replicable, high-quality retrofit solutions.
