Value Optimised Retrofit and Bristol City Leap recognised at Unlock Net Zero Awards 2026

Value Optimised Retrofit (VOR), in partnership with Bristol City Leap, is delighted to announce that we have been awarded Collaboration of the Year: The South at the Unlock Net Zero Awards 2026.

The award recognises the success of the Easiform Project in Bristol and the strength of the partnership that has helped deliver high-quality retrofit improvements to homes across the city.

For VOR, this recognition reflects the importance of bringing together robust retrofit expertise, strong local partnerships and a shared commitment to delivering better outcomes for residents. Working alongside Bristol City Leap, the Easiform Project has demonstrated how collaborative delivery can support the transition to warmer, healthier and more energy-efficient homes while contributing to wider decarbonisation objectives.

Delivering retrofit through partnership

The challenges facing the housing sector cannot be solved by any one organisation alone. The Easiform Project has shown the value of combining specialist retrofit knowledge with local delivery expertise to create an approach that is both technically robust and focused on the needs of residents.

Throughout the project, VOR and Bristol City Leap have worked closely to ensure retrofit measures are designed and delivered to achieve lasting benefits. By aligning our expertise and shared ambitions, we have been able to support households in reducing energy consumption, improving home comfort and lowering carbon emissions.

The award is a testament to the collaborative approach adopted by both organisations and highlights the role that effective partnerships can play in accelerating the delivery of retrofit at scale.

Supporting residents and creating lasting impact

At its core, the Easiform Project is about improving homes and improving lives. Effective retrofit not only reduces environmental impact but also helps create homes that are more comfortable, healthier and more affordable to heat.

As the sector continues to scale up retrofit activity, projects such as Easiform provide valuable insight into how organisations can work together to deliver meaningful outcomes for residents while supporting local and national net zero ambitions.

Thank you to everyone involved

This achievement reflects the hard work, dedication and professionalism of the teams across both VOR and Bristol City Leap. We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the success of the project.

We would also like to thank the Unlock Net Zero Awards judges and organisers for this recognition.

As we continue to support the delivery of high-quality retrofit programmes across the UK, this award reinforces the importance of collaboration, innovation and a shared commitment to creating better homes and more sustainable communities.
