Consultancy service for Bristol City Council.

In-depth on site retrofit assessments.

PAS2035 process and compliance

Project Summary

In 2021, Bristol city council commissioned VOR to deliver a comprehensive consultancy service for the Warm Up Skill Up (WUSU) project.

Receiving funding as part of the Green Homes Grant (GHG), Bristol City Council was aiming to provide grant funding delivery to private home owners, whose house had an EPC rating of D to G.

The WUSU project engages with homes who have had an Energy Trace Thermal Imaging Survey via the C.H.E.E.S.E Project (Cold Homes Energy Efficiency Survey Experts) and identify eligible homes from this cohort to install GHG funded energy saving measures up to the value of £10,000 per property.

VOR’s consultancy service provided pivotal for the project’s success.

The Outcome

Performing in-depth on site retrofit assessments, VOR identified a range of energy efficacy measures that would fit into the ‘medium term plan’ for the 25 eligible dwellings.

VOR’s TrustMark accredited team oversaw pas2035 compliancy was met throughout the project. This includes undertaking on-site visits during the delivery of works and the sign off of works, ensuring Trustmark compliance.

VOR also handled any other key responsibilities within the PAS2035 process to ensure compliance, streamlining the process and removing risk of ineligibility of grant funding.

The WUSU project will bring homes to an EPC rating of C or better, conserve fuel and power and reduce carbon emissions. At the same time as significantly improving the lines of occupiers through improved thermal comfort, indoor air quality and control of moisture, damp and mould.
