Welcome Edmund Trotignot to VOR as our new Apprentice Retrofit Designer

We’re delighted to welcome Edmund Trotignot to VOR as our new Apprentice Retrofit Designer. Edmund joins us for a six-month placement from the University of Bath, where he is currently in his second year studying Architecture.

During his studies, Edmund found the environmental design modules particularly engaging, which sparked his interest in gaining real-world experience in an industry that is rapidly shifting towards sustainability and energy efficiency.

Edmund was drawn to VOR’s grounded, practical approach to retrofit and the combination of large-scale decarbonisation and social value that underpins our work. During his time with us, he’s looking forward to developing his technical design skills and gaining a deeper understanding of how retrofit projects operate within the PAS 2035 framework.

For Edmund, retrofitting the UK’s existing housing stock is a critical part of large-scale decarbonisation, while also delivering real, practical benefits to residents through improved homes and reduced energy costs.

Outside of the office, Edmund enjoys strength training at the gym and has a long-standing passion for art and drawing, the interest that first sparked his journey into architecture.

Welcome to the team, Edmund, we’re looking forward to working with you!
